The Government have launched a Public Consultation Process to support the development of the Climate Action Plan 2021.
The Climate Action Plan is Ireland’s roadmap to becoming a climate neutral economy and resilient society by 2050 (see the 2019 Climate Action Plan). This means that the amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere is dramatically reduced and is balanced by the amount removed by our land, forestry, or technology.
As part of this process, everyone has the opportunity to engage with an online Climate Conversations platform. This platform will seek people’s opinions on various important elements of Climate Action and perspectives on actions at a local level. Government want to hear from as many people as possible in order to ensure that a diverse range of perspectives and experiences inform the development of the next Climate Action Plan.
In this context, please see a link below to this online platform. This consultation process is open to all.
